We Started This Because of Someone We Loved
Wallace Senior Living was born from a family's personal experience — and the belief that every senior deserves a community that feels like home.
It Started With Grandma Rose
In 2002, the Wallace family faced a decision that millions of families face every year: Grandma Rose could no longer live safely on her own. She was forgetting her medications, had fallen twice in three months, and the loneliness was taking a toll on her spirit.
We toured every senior living facility within fifty miles. Some were beautiful on the surface but felt hollow. Others had caring staff but crumbling buildings. None of them felt like a place where Rose would be known, valued, and truly happy.
So we built one.
Wallace Senior Living opened its doors in 2004 with twelve residents and a radical idea: what if we treated every single person who walked through our doors the way we'd want our own grandmother treated? Not as a patient. Not as a number. But as a person with a story, a sense of humor, and a life worth celebrating.
Twenty years later, that idea hasn't changed. We're bigger now — but we'll never be big enough to forget a resident's name, their favorite meal, or how they take their coffee.
Values That Guide Every Decision We Make
These aren't words on a wall. They're the promises our staff lives by every single day.
Dignity First
Every resident is treated with the respect and autonomy they've earned over a lifetime. We don't make decisions for your parent — we make decisions with them.
Genuine Compassion
We hire for heart first, skill second. Our caregivers don't just do a job — they build real relationships with every person in their care.
Unwavering Safety
From 24/7 on-site nursing staff to rigorous safety protocols, hygiene standards, and emergency preparedness — we never cut corners when it comes to your parent's wellbeing.
Community & Connection
Loneliness is as dangerous as any illness. We create a community where friendships form, laughter happens daily, and no one ever eats alone unless they want to.
The People Behind the Promise
Our staff isn't just trained — they're chosen. We look for people who see caregiving as a calling, not just a career.
Licensed Nursing Staff
Registered nurses and licensed practical nurses on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your parent always has access to qualified medical professionals who know their health history.
Certified Caregivers
Every caregiver is state-certified, background-checked, and receives ongoing training. Our average caregiver tenure is 6 years — in an industry where the average is 18 months. That stability matters to your parent.
Lifestyle & Dining Team
Our activity coordinators, chef, and wellness team work together to create days that are full, varied, and enjoyable. Because great care extends far beyond medical needs.
